We are seeking an experienced native-English-speaking copywriter to support cross-functional teams develop communication solutions for some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and brands. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a dynamic digital communications agency operating primarily in the life sciences/pharma/healthcare space.

About the position

The role requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, and offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects involving:

  • Writing for brands including creative/commercial/consumer copy
  • Writing content for the pharmaceutical/life science industry, transforming complex scientific concepts into accurate, concise and easily understandable language
  • Writing for digital platforms, including writing copy for websites, apps, e-learning, chatbots, as well as technical writing on CRM platforms and content authoring tools
  • Writing for internal communications including internal emails, company promotion, and social media campaigns
  • Proofreading and editing across a variety of materials

On Monday you might start your week by collaborating with one of our Medical Communications Strategists to optimise the copy for a digital sales aid for a diabetes therapy (while staying true to the science). On Tuesday, a client’s got a need for a series of internal emails, to get their team excited about their new multichannel initiative. On Wednesday the Creative team needs your help with some copy for a conceptual branding exercise. Thursday, maybe you’re working with Tech to develop some user-friendly training materials for Anthill Activator™, our CLM Content Creation and Management tool. And on Friday, you’re supporting Strategy on some slides for a proposal that has to go out ASAP!

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience within a fast-paced and busy healthcare communications or advertising agency
  • Excellent writing skills in English with great attention to detail, accuracy, spelling and grammar
  • Ability to digest complex information and translate science, strategy and technical insights into impactful/persuasive copy in an appropriate tone of voice for the audience
  • Ability to deliver high quality copy, working closely with account handling teams to deliver in line with project briefs, deadlines and budgets
  • Excellent collaborative spirit and communication skills, to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and demands is essential
  • Knowledge of, or experience working in, the pharma/life-science industry is desirable
  • Experience of medical or scientific writing and editing is an advantage
  • Knowledge of various media platforms, digital marketing channels and strategies is an advantage
